Rich in remarkable natural spaces, 6 Regional Natural Parks cover 15% of the territory. With its 27 Regional Nature Reserves (RNR), the Grand Est region has natural treasures that have become real places for environmental education. Places to preserve and explore to learn and pass on… The Grand Est Region has 5 urban areas with more than 250,000 inhabitants: Metz, Mulhouse, Nancy, Reims and Strasbourg. Champagne, also known as “Vin de Champagne”, is a French spirit wine protected by an appellati-on d'origine contrôlée (AOC). It takes its name from the Champagne region of France, where the main grapes used to make it are grown. It is a sparkling wine made with three main grape varieties: chardonnay (white grape variety), pinot noir and meunier (black grape varieties).
